Ms. Fauzia Viqar

Ms. Fauzia Viqar is known for her work against gender and race-based discrimination. During her tenure as the first Chairperson of the Punjab Commission on the Status of Women in 2014, the Commission revised legislation, policies and services impacting women’s rights. In 2015 and 2016, she guided publication of two annual Gender Parity Reports as well as the formation of Punjab Women’s Parliamentary Caucus.
